No child left indoors! Reconnecting young people with the outdoors!
Every day, the headlines remind us of the challenges facing our children—drugs, crime, bullying, endless hours on screens, and the overwhelming pressures of social media. It has never been harder to grow up in today’s world.
But there is hope.
For more than a century, Scouting America (formerly the Boy Scouts of America) has helped young people ages 5 to 21 build character, leadership, and resilience through outdoor adventure and hands-on life skills. Today, Scouting is more vital than ever, offering children the chance to step away from screens and into experiences that transform lives.
Here in Maine, the Pine Tree Council is rising to meet this challenge—providing safe, positive, and life-shaping opportunities for youth and their families. But we cannot do it alone. Pine Tree Council covers the 10 southern, central, western, and coastal Counties in Maine.
With your support, we can ensure more young people experience the confidence, friendship, and character development that only Scouting provides. Together, we can give our children what they need most: a path of purpose, leadership, and hope.
Will you help us strengthen the future of our youth by investing in Scouting?
To continue to serve all members in our community, we hold a variety of different community fundraising events and campaigns. This allows us to provide financial support to those who cannot afford to attend camp, purchase a uniform, join Scouting, or even buy a Scout Handbook.
